it's a disaster film ...

The review by Curious commented "The film reminded me of watching episode 2 of a 3 part series." I had the same feeling - there were things we seemed to be expected to know about the characters and a lot of harking back to things in their past - and a little research confirmed our suspicions. This is in fact the middle film of a trilogy (but it is no EMPIRE STRIKES BACK). The same actors and characters started out in SUPER VOLCANO, re-appeared in MEGAQUAKE and went on to ICE STORM. Even leaving that out of the equation, this movie doesn't exactly set the screen on fire. It features a lot of familiar tropes from previous Asylum productions (and maybe some of their effects) but the cast spend most of their time yelling at each other or muttering scientific double-talk. I will however admit to admiring the scene where FEMA headquarters is washed away in a flood and collides with a bridge!

The story line was the only good part of this movie...

The looked like a beginners quarry of video and acting. If it wasn't for the story line I would of stopped watching within in the first 20 minutes.

The video and backgrounds were so visibly fake and as for the actors... It was if no one's heart was in it to make this movie. There was no fear in their eyes or in their voice. Everyone talking like they were making general statements and not acting out in fear.

These actors did an injustice to the writers of this script copy.

If produced properly with good actors, production staff, and effects team and maybe a little more money spent, this movie could have been a great movie.
