All the winners are well deserved, but the host sucked

The Golden Globes 2024 show was a night full of glitz and glamour, but unfortunately, the host Jo Koy failed to deliver as expected. Koy's jokes fell flat and lacked the wit and charm that is expected from a Golden Globes host. His attempts at humor were often cringe-worthy and insensitive, leaving the audience uncomfortable and unamused. I don't understand how the Golden Globes trusted unprofessional Jo Koy with cringe lines.His performance as the host of the Golden Globes 2024 show was a major disappointment. His lackluster jokes and uninspired hosting style failed to capture the attention of the audience and left many viewers wishing for a different host. Most of his jokes are absolutely terrible, with sexist comments. Hopefully, in future shows, the Golden Globes committee will choose a host who can bring more excitement and energy to the stage.

Unplanned, unorganized & unfunny

Pathetic, Jo Koy bombs & how does he return the favor? Well, by making it worse, repeatedly reminding the crowd that "I didn't write these jokes" I thought he was joking the first time, but he kept bringing it up. REAL COMEDIANS who are bombing that hard will never throw their own team under the table, you're a damn comedian for Christs sake, improvise, do something, instead he stands up there using those same jokes, that he's blaming his writers for, (a couple are his too, yet he won't say it if it's his and the jokes don't land of course) he stands there and I won't even get into the Barbie & Taylor Swift situation, that was bad but just as a whole this entire golden globes was just cringey, unplanned & unorganized.The winners & nominees are fine I suppose, no upsets or anything, I think everyone was awarded fairly & the speeches were nice.I appreciate that there wasn't any forced agendas or politics in the room. It did feel like everyone was having a good time there & the atmosphere felt good, golden globes are always a hit & miss type of thing. The host was a miss, & it wasn't engaging as it could have been with the gags.It's an award show, what more can you ask for? I mean, had the host been solid & decent with okay jokes this would have been a solid 6/10 maybe even a 7/10 but the host alone is what ruined it. Hopefully in the future Jo Koy can redeem himself & maybe plan a little bit better, because even if his writers were to blame or even if the golden globes gave him a short amount of time to prepare, 1 you don't take a risk like this for that short amount of time to prepare, 2 you don't bring your own team down, when Tom Bradys receiver messes up, he doesn't tell the people after the game during meetings that the wide receiver dropped the ball, he puts the blame on him 100%, as a leader & comedian you need to take some accountability. And 3 make better jokes man, these jokes were not funny & some were funny but just delivered badly by you to begin with. The Taylor swift & Barbie jokes were perfect examples of this, Taylor swift was an actual funny joke his delivery was awful, and then the Barbie joke definitely should have been restructured differently, if you knew your writing team wrote that joke why not rewrite it? But no he blames them.4/10.

what is all the backlash about for Jo Koy??????????

I for one found Koy as delightful as any host can be in an otherwise BORING BORING self actualization esoteric awards show. I especially don't get why anyone thought he should apologize for the joke about Taylor Swift. Being a huge pro football fanatic I cringe everytime the camera shows her at the Chiefs games. Its pro football not the music industry. And Koy was right about showing her face more times during football broadcasts than on the golden globe awards show. Good for you Jo Koy!!!!!!If there is any criticism to be doled out for this horrid show it is the writers that give the lines to the presenters. Talk about cringe worthy!!! If they just have the presenters read the nominees and hand out the awards the winners would have more time to grovel on their well deserved center stage.A world that is in love with Taylor Swift as if she did something great by hooking up with Travis Kelce.
