Are you sure it's a Christmas movie? lol

Hardly saw anything Christmassy until 45 minutes into the movie, and I saw a Christmas tree.No real clue what I was watching. Why did he have a gun? Who was that old dude covered in dirt? Why does no one seem decorated for Christmas? Why are there fortune tellers instead of Santa Claus? Why is everyone hyping this movie? Have they never seen quality before?None of it makes sense, and it's all just sort of happening, and it's all so random. Also the critic Jessie Hobson from CineDump is telling porky pies at the end of her review."In the end, A Christmas Love offers a thoughtful, tender exploration of human frailty, the importance of family, and the enduring power of love during the holiday season. It may be an indie film with imperfections, but its message resonates, leaving viewers with a reminder that it's never too late to change, to forgive, and to embrace the joy and magic of Christmas."WHAT CHRISTMAS MAGIC?! WAS THERE REALLY ANYTHING CHRISTMAS ABOUT THIS?! Stawp.

A Difficult Film to Categorize

"Jeff" (Chris Spinelli) is a man who is going through a rough time in his life. Not only has he just lost a promotion he thought he was going to get, but the man who replaced him has decided to fire him for no reason as well. In addition to that, his excessive drinking--along with his inability to hold a steady job--has created a terrible strain on his marriage to the point that his wife "Tina" (Craijece Danielle) has just about had enough. Likewise, his adult daughter "Cody" (Sarah Brine) has also noticed the friction in his marriage and to possibly remedy the situation she takes him to a mystic by the name of "Madame Ming" (Nicole D'Angelo). On that note, although her advice brightens his outlook at first, he soon becomes even more depressed--to the point of seriously considering suicide. But then something happens which changes everything! Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that I liked the overall plot of the story which depicted Jeff's anxieties and the turbulence it caused in his marriage quite well. Unfortunately, there were some scenes which caused me to wonder if they were meant to be taken seriously or not. For example, the scene involving Jeff and his new boss "Murray" (Jeff Rector) appeared to be comedic in nature. But I couldn't tell. So, either the comedy fell flat, or the drama lacked seriousness. Either way, it was an awful scene. Additionally, the acting and some of the sets needed improvement as well. In any case, I wasn't very impressed with this movie, and I have rated it accordingly. Below average.
