Steer clear of this Jar full of Poop!

A Jar Full Of Christmas (2024) -Right from the start I thought that this was going to be a big steaming pile of boo hickey. The way that the Bosses were way too pushy was ridiculous, Rose's (Brooke Burfitt) "Daughter" Lily played by Casie Maghran was probably as old as her "Mum" and the acting was awful from all parties involved. The soundtrack was odd and cheap too.I didn't even get as far as the potentially hot guy Everett (Jason Frederick) because I just knew that it was not going to be a film that I could enjoy. And honestly it could have been Channing Tatum, Chris Evans or Henry Cavill and I still wouldn't have continued watching (That's possibly a lie, but it would have been a tough call whether I did continue for them alone). So five minutes or so in to it I turned it off because if that was how they thought it would be best to start the film then I wasn't sticking around for the end. Because of the quantity of these films that are released each year I'm always looking for ones that don't appeal to me to delete early on so that I can only see the quality releases, but I didn't need that excuse for this one! It might have had the best, brightest, cutest, most wonderful ending but I will NEVER find out.Unscored as Unfinished.

A jar full of boredom...

Well, this 2024 movie doesn't exactly have a great title, I will say that much. But still, I opted to add it to my 2024 Christmas movie marathon, since it was a Christmas movie that I hadn't already seen, much less ever heard about.Writer and director Candice T. Cain delivered a movie that could best be described as a train wreck of a Christmas movie. The storyline in the movie is horrible. It was boring, dull and generally devoid of anything Christmassy in the traditional sense. And the flaccid character gallery didn't help spruce up the eggnog either. I was growing more and more disdained and losing interest in the movie with each passing minute, and that made sitting through 101 minutes of this ordeal quite a test of willpower. And I have to admit, in all honesty, that I lost the battle, my willpower just wasn't strong enough to stand against the boredom that was what writer and director Candice T. Cain delivered in this abysmally titled Christmas movie. I tossed the towel in the ring 27 minutes into the ordeal; by then I was just ready to claw my eyes out.I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. And while that is usually something I enjoy when I was a movie, seeing new and unfamiliar talents, then I just didn't really enjoy it here in "A Jar Full of Christmas", because the storyline was a sluggish dud. Sure, the acting performances were fair, but the actors and actresses virtually didn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of salvaging the dumpster fire that is "A Jar Full of Christmas".If you enjoy sappy Christmas movies, do yourself a big favor and don't waste your time on this 2024 travesty of a movie. My rating of "A Jar Full of Christmas" lands on a two out of ten stars.

Hilarious casting

The movie was blah blah and not really worth reviewing. But the introduction of the daughter was just so ridiculous I had to comment. The mum/lead looks like she's in her mid thirties and the women addressing her as 'mom' appears to be in her late twenties. I had to look them up to check and yes they're only nine years apart. But the hilarious part is that they are so obviously close in age. Cretinous casting. As imdb imposes minimum word counts these days I'll just add that the lead actress is ok and there is none of the god awful Hallmark style formulae or pizzicato soundtracks but the plot and scriptwriting just lets this down all the way through. If you can sit through the ludicrous lawyers room opening scene you might make it to the end.
