In 1942, in the Swiss town of Payerne, Fernand Ishi swore allegiance to the Nazi Party. Arthur Bloch, a 60-year-old cattle trader, was targeted as the Jew to be killed as an example. Sixty-seven years later, in 2009, when the Swiss writer Jacques Chessex recalled these events, he too became the enemy to be eliminated.A dark page in Swiss history , the film blends past and present : the horrible lynching of Bloch in a stable,among the cattle , and the awful way to get rid of the dead body -the scene of the float on the parade is terribly ambiguous and taken from one of the writer's books-,all is seen through a child's eyes who would become a famous writer; his death during a lecture caused by a heart attack while he was answering a person who blamed him for his support in the Polanski affair; a short movie (72 min) dominated by the great German actor Bruno Ganz , world-wide famous for his portrayal of Hitler in "der Untergang" (2004)
