Smokey is still here

There are very few survivors from the Golden age of Motown. I can certainly understand the lack of the old faces. They introduce the old acts and have some new singers doing their interpretations. They do still have Smokey and Gladys around. Martha Reeves probably has completely different Vandellas by this point. As for The Temptations, Otis Williams is the last surviving member and the owner of the name. It's the echo of The Temptations. Instead of worrying about all that, he should let some other famous names do their songs. It could be new breakout versions. Sometimes, the show gets a bit too Christmas. I don't care about MGK doing Last Christmas unless they consider it a Motown song. I don't see how. In the end, I just love Smokey. I am glad that he still looks vibrant and his voice is still here. This is a Christmas TV special. I'm not expecting much. It's already a success after Smokey and Gladys perform.

Several classic Motown songs as well as a few Christmas ones highlight "A Motown Christmas"

After nearly a year on my DVR, I finally got to watch this special of classic Motown/Christmas songs. Smoky Robinson is co-host with Halle Bailey and among the Motown stars appearing are Martha and the Vandellas, Gladys Knight, and perhaps some of The Temptations. Some of the songs seem edited for time constraints but it was mostly enjoyable from beginning to end. So that's a recommendation of "A Motown Christmas".
