Bad Writing

As I've observed with many GFAM Christmas movies, the writing (storyline and especially the dialogue) is just not good. Unless the actors are experienced and can bring life to the conversations, a lot of the dialogue comes off as if the actors are reading from cue cards. The conversations are unnatural.

Mediocre

Where to start. It must have been somewhat entertaining because I did watch to the end. Most likely because of Stoddard and Underwood. Both are excellent actors but have roles here which are truly boring. S & U are also a budding couple in Crossroads Springs and that is the only highlight of that lifeless show. Is that a GAF thing? Liked the use of the Jeremy character. Give Stoddard more movies like Finding Love in Big Sky and even more recently Christmas Mixer. If nothing else to watch, try it. The dogs are cute especially Winston.

Royal flush

You knew this was coming.At this point, I think even Jonathan Stoddard is sick of Jonathan Stoddard, and his uniforms and his phony accents.Clearly GAF isn't. They keep trotting him out there.I am not sick of Brittany Underwood, however. She is what my little sister used to call a babe.Not sure why she gets paired with Stoddard so often. One of those movies was pretty good. I just have no idea which one, not that it matters.This go 'round was about saving an animal rescue shelter. I really don't need to say much more.If you're not sick of any of the things mentioned above, go ahead and watch it. I will say it's not the worst of these.Five.
