A really fun film.

I just watched this film with my two nephews. I speak Spanish but my nephews don't; they had to read the English subtitles but even then, they really enjoyed this movie as well. Great cast with good chemistry, good acting, plot and dialogue. I can see (and hope) there's a sequel to this. I highly recommend it if you need to watch something fun and lighthearted after a weary day at work.

Do yourselves a favor and watch the original version

I'm giving it three stars only because of Memo Villegas's good performance. He's the only one who brings a bit of a Mexican touch to this adaptation. The original film is very funny and has great dark humor. This version can neither adapt to Mexican reality nor does it even remotely replicate the first version. Luis Gerardo Méndez's accent is really annoying and innecesario; it also makes his acting very forced and frankly bad. The original story is very good, but this version is sadly bad.
