The True Gentleman

Watched this one with my girlfriend, and honestly-it's the kind of film that works only in that context. A soft, romantic vibe, some touching moments here and there, and an ending that actually moved me a bit. For that, it's enjoyable.But beyond that... it's a pretty standard Turkish drama. Stylish visuals, soft piano in the background, a "deep" character living a nightlife full of clichés. The story feels worn out, like it's been told a hundred times before-with nothing new to add. Even the emotional beats feel predictable.It's not a bad movie, but it lacks originality. A decent popcorn film, emotional in the right moments, but forgettable overall. Watch it with someone you love, then move on.

Not a True Gentleman!

Interesting storyline .... however, the ending is way too melodramatic, given the lead up and storyline about the main characters.So the lead lives a life of luxury at the expense of a rich, older woman who likes him a lot. She wants to be her exclusive lover and he knows that if he goes againat her wishes, he will lose his pampered lifestyle. In the end he betrays her and that wjere the drama begins .... almost at the end of the movie.The movie could have been better if it had shown some flashbacks in the lead's early life to explain his actions and why he was such a cold and selfish person. ?
