A New Cozy Mystery Series - Yay!

(Quick Read) Ainsley McGregor: A Case for the Watchmaker is a charming, cozy mystery with a smart, likable heroine. The small-town setting is delightful, the mystery is engaging without being dark, and the pacing keeps things moving. If you enjoy clean mysteries with heart, humor, and a satisfying whodunit, this one is well worth watching.(Longer Review) As a devoted fan of cozy mysteries, Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Watchmaker exceeded my expectations. This second movie in the series builds on the charm and wit of the first while deepening character development and sense of community and mystery that makes Ainsley McGregor's world a place in which I desire to enter, sit down, cozy up, and try to figure out "whodunit"!Candace Cameron Bure (Ainsley McGregor) outperforms herself from her previous movie mystery series. She portrays Ainsley, a curious former criminologist now an artisan market owner, who does not hide her incredible deductive reasoning as the leader of the town's amateur detectives, a.k.a. "Book Club."When a member of the club brings up a cold case tied to a mysterious antique watch, Ainsley meticulously pursues the investigation which quickly spirals into a wonderfully twisty whodunit that kept me guessing.What I loved most: Small-town charm - Sweet River, not unlike Cabot Cove is for Murder, She Wrote fans, feels like a place you'd want to visit and keep returning.Engaging characters - Quirky yet compassionate book club members, Ainsley's relationship with her boyfriend fire chief Jake, and Ainsley's town sheriff brother add humor, warmth, and charm to every scene.Clever plot twists - The watch at the center of the case is the piece that ties together history, motives, and secrets in a satisfyingly cozy mystery.Family-friendly yet gripping - This movie offers a perfect balance between lighthearted-fun and genuine suspense._____________________________ Ainsley McGregor: Case for the Watchmaker is full of personality, cleverness, and that comforting "can't stop watching" energy. Didn't disappoint!

Not going to lie I was upset when Candace Bure stopped doing the Aurora Teagarden series but the Ainsley McGregor series came around and now I'm okay with it. I really enjoy this series and look forward to each new movie that comes out. This one was really good. Good mystery... gave me murder she wrote vibes (LOVE that series). The characters are great. Especially enjoyed the introduction of the pawn shop owner - loved his kookiness. George the dog is adorable as usual and Ainsley's style was superb. I always laugh when I see negative comments on a movie that Candace Bure does. I have a feeling it's some troll hired by hallmark or an individual who doesn't like Candace because she's religious. Cause everyone I see is always taking a shot at her !and so far from the truth. Overall - Good Mystery, Great characters, Good acting - an enjoyable way to spend a weekend afternoon.

Very enjoyable

Very good murder mystery held your interest to the end. Good acting cast was believable and the star as always did a phenomenal job.Cameron Bure was as always very cute. Please make us some more episodes taken from books, they seem to be more thought out when they are from books. It was a pleasant entertaining evening watch.Cameron as always was cute, charming and very talented. We love to watch her murder mysteries.We also love who she is in real life. Her strong Christian values and her values of truth and faith.
