Confessions of a Proud Beauf

I confess. I surrender. My shameful tastes - the ones I struggle to admit - are Philippe Lacheau films. It's when I see Julien Arruti running with a toilet seat bolted to his arse, Tarek Boudali wriggling in a teddy-bear suit worn backwards (with the tail doing what you think it does), or Lacheau himself fighting Didier Bourdon naked, that I realise I am, definitively, a big dumb beauf.Because I laugh. Freely. Shamelessly. I've laughed at every Lacheau film since Babysitting, like several million other viewers - and that's my defence. What does that say about France? More importantly, what does it say about me?Trying to stay objective, I'd still argue that, aside from early Dupontel, no one in France masters slapstick like Philippe Lacheau. The vaudevillian planning - everything fluid, everything readable - is flawless here. And I can't resist a terrible joke dropped completely out of context, forced into a character's mouth for no reason other than that Lacheau, Boudali and Arruti probably thought of it at that exact moment on set. A bit of third-degree humour never hurt anyone.Lacheau is my age. Most of the time, I get the reference. Not always, but most of the time. Barely a year had passed since Superhero Despite Himself, and I'm already looking forward to his upcoming Marsupilami. Everyone has their dark side.

Proof of (no) concept

No pun intended - also the concept (of the website) has worked before ... even if it came crashing down at the end of the first movie. It's been a while so maybe you are not entirely familiar with it anymore ... but I do think the introduction to the movie and the short ... let's call it recap is working wonders. There is not much more needed actually. What you do need to know or be aware of: the movie is quite over the top a lot. So there is humor and there are situations that seem far removed from reality and what would and could happen in a sane world .. on the other hand, do we live in a sane world? One could question that too.But I am talking about Jackass style things happening and a humor that you have to dig, otherwise you will not have much fun watching this ... literally. No white little lies ... big red ones. .. or whatever color works best for you. The actors ("old" and new ones) do a great job ... if you liked the previous entry, you will like this too. Because it stays true to the formula while still being new and fresh enough to entertain ...

The most hilarous and funny movie that I saw

Seen in preview in Valence, Mr Philipe Lacheau made us a MASTER PIECE yes a master piece of French comedy!!!!

Knowing that the first opus was completely huge, he's managed to make one that's better than the first, which is so rare in the film industry today, especially in comedy!

So much so that we're laughing all the way through the film - we don't have time to laugh at each joke, because it's one after the other, and it's irrespirable. It's so funny that they manage to make us laugh from the first to the last second of the film!

La Bande à Fifi are the best in French comedy today, the only ones to vary and offer new content, excellent film concepts and very, very original !!!!!

I'm not afraid to say it's a big change from other comedy films in France, which are rather repetitive in their content...
