It would be way worse if this happened now - WARNING Graphic review

This was from 2013. If this happened now it would be far worse. I laughed to myself during the NY scenes where the narrator said "no robberies on the subway yet". Now NY is a cesspool of robberies, and the lights are still on LOL. In NY and some places in California gangs of people are clearing out stores and robbing restaurant customers and subway patrons every day with no consequences. Home invasions are almost normal now. Auto theft is rampant. Violent and dangerous foreign gangs have set up shop in America. Violent crimes are way up. Imagine what would happen if the lights went out now.If the grid went down today due to transformer damage, it would take 3 years for the lights to come back on because it takes that long to replace the transformers. Imagine how many people would be left alive in 3 years. Experts estimate 90% of the population would be dead.This is a good film for people who have never thought about the topic or those who have wondered what would happen. Just know that this film represents the best case scenario in a short term outage.

"Adult Entertainment" for prepers.

In my opinion, this movie has sparked a few wildfires in our society that we just didn't need. The content is absolutely focused on fear and a deranged lvl of obsession. It glorifies violence, while denouncing compassion. This "film" is prepper pornography. This movies impact on society has almost certainly lead to literal attacks on actual united States infrastructure. There is a psychological phenomenon when people have invested into anything over an extended period of time. Where they "need" a payoff and the climax for some of these "preppers" is justifiable homicide.That's the fantasy. It's sad.

Interesting and obsessed

SPOILERS AHEADI love this film, hell I'm obsessed with it. Some might say it sucks and what nots. But the truth is you gotta like things like the colony and doomsday. Because this films portrays as a survival documentary. Showing what ifs in many different scenarios. Like what if your prepared, what if your not. Settings like the city, the suburb. Being trapped with strangers or just being alone to defend yourself. How easily society will fall. I mean if you think about it it's accurate in a way just look how the US turned when COVID hit. Everything just stopped and food became hard to get. I mean for some the film can be unrealistic. I mean for all that to happen in just a short time. But the truth is people are unpredictable, in the film they explain about the black outs in cities and over night they became riots. And anyone who ever had a shortage of things (epically suiting COVID) you can see how people go crazy. So even though some parts might be unrealistic their are some truths to it. And that is what make the film great.
