The theory that the movie proposes is unrealistic. In the 2000s Falun Gong glorified the suicidal hunger strikes of practitioners (even pregnant ones). The self-immolation planned Liu Yunfang told the media that he had two dreams of suicide, including one using gasoline. In his suicide dream, he saw the Buddha light after dying. Dreams are messages from gods. When Li Hongzhi's new "Jingwen" were published, it was a sign to the group of practitioners in Kaifeng that were "right". Self-immolation was not "suicide", but "Consummation". According to Falun Gong, physical death isn't real dearh. This is the higher-level understanding of Falun Dafa. These things aren't prohibited. There is strong evidence that these victims were Falun Gong practitioners. The TIME article "Too Hot To Handle" showed that many Falun Gong practitioners agreed with the self-immolation. The WaPo article "Human Fire Ignites Chinese Mystery" indicated that these self-immolators previously participated in Falun Gong protests. CCTV (state media) interviewed a practitioner named Feng Haijun, who was tasked to investigate the identities of the self-immolators and found that they were Falun Gong practitioners. The alleged discrepancies are also false. The black object thrown on the self-immolator was soft/elastic, and came from the self-immolator's arm. It couldn't have killed her. The hospital treatment isn't suspicious at all: 9/11 burn victims were wrapped in gauze too, and when a burn victim has passed a certain stage (this is the case during the CCTV interview), they can be visited without risk of infection. Liu Siying wasn't speaking clearly, but could speak because the Passy-Muir valve allows people to speak after a tracheostomy. However, it is good that this film is more nuanced that the Falun Gong website, but is should have some introspection.

Though I was well aware of the political corruption, imprisonments, torturing and the brutality at the forefront of the Chinese Communist party's propoganda war with Falin Gong I, am always willing to see/hear new reports and stories. We are going to see China getting even worse over the next decade - and beyond - to the point that they will not care what the Western media/peoples report on because, they are soon going to have an extremely large foothold in the world and a very strong grip on its throat. So this is a very good film concentrating on just one of the Chinese governemnts despicable and cruel dehumanizing activities but its your children and their children who are going to face the full on Power war that has already come out into the open...the South China sea incidents in past years etc!The one thing that I could just not sit easy with was the event happenings being related by the female CNN reporter of the time (thats why I have only given the film 9 stars). I found something totally unsettling about her (was she a covert operations agent or CIA masquerading as a journalist...something Clowns In Action - C. I. A. To you - did a lot) I got/had a strong sense of her omitting a lot of information and just plain lying about facts etc. Certainly not a lady I feel could be trusted! I also felt that the film was not as hard hitting and revealing enough as it could/may have been; I passed that off as possibly being because of the Chinese trying to destabilize his game company.The western world, and any democratically run country, would do well to cut all ties of trade etc, etc. With that dictatorship regime of evil.
