this movie doesn't know what it wants to be about

There were several motifs worthy of the main plot throughout the film, but the director decided to choose the worst one. Moreover, the characters behave irrationally from the first minute of the film until its end. Additionally, I think that the director has primal kink, which he showed several times in this production. If you look at the main characters, they weren't even written in a sensible way, and the "funny moments" themselves come from the more serious scenes that are laughable with their kitschiness. The entire movie was enjoyable to watch for about half of its duration because it gets monotonous very quickly.

o brother where art thou

This movie had potential if the younger brother's character had a meatier role. After about halfway through the film his character is just used to fill up the set with a handful of irrelevant dialogues. The conflict and chemistry between the two siblings was just beginning to build up, when the makers decided to give more importance to uninteresting characters and situations, thus completely changing the course of the film, making it dull and unengaging.
