Plot summary

Insecure and balding Leo has closed himself in his apartment to try a hair growth liquid for fixing up his looks. As Leo tries to get his bodily changes under control the evening quickly turns into chaos.

Burning hair

This short feature is funny and depressing in the same time. A man facing his hair problem, a simple hair problem, as many other folks I guess. But things rapidly get out of control, in the most tragic way. Very clever and inventive, smart and daring. From Estonia.

Exceptional

Just saw this at my local film festival and wowwwwww! That had me gripped start to finish. Its comedic timing is perfect. It's excellently shot, and well acted. The body horror is fantastic and really has you squirming with discomfort. And THAT scene. Oh my god, THAT scene. If you've seen it, you know exactly the one. I personally nearly swallowed my fist, from stuffing it in my mouth. Thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. Wow. Just wow. 10/10, desperately want to watch it again.

One word ... perfect!

I saw Bad Hair at the Satisfied Eye International Film Festival in a block of shorts called Terror in the Cinema. It was the very last film and in a packed audience, I have never heard so many gasps of 'oh no' and 'oh god' throughout a film. Brilliantly brutal, it really is a flawlessly made little short horror - although to call it a horror film is to undersell it. It's a horror, a comedy, a tragedy, a clever analysis of human insecurity. In short, it's bloody brilliant! Everything about it is flawlessly done, from the directing, the acting, the visual effects and in particular the sound which - in a big cinema with a surround sound system - just adds to the sheer horror of the film. I heard so many people say it was their favourite film of the night and I have to agree!
