A killer concept. Poorly executed.

Bagman is a film that, on paper, has all the ingredients for a cult midnight movie hit. The premise is undeniably compelling: a silent, hulking figure known only as the Bagman, his face perpetually hidden by a crinkled paper bag mask, stalks those who flout the rules of environmentalism, specifically by not recycling plastic. It's a wonderfully absurd and timely setup for a modern slasher or a darkly satirical horror. Unfortunately, a great idea alone does not make a great movie, and Bagman ultimately collapses under the weight of its own poor execution.The film's strongest asset is its central conceit. There's a potent, if heavy-handed, allegory here about eco-terrorism and the violent consequences of societal neglect. In its best moments, the film leans into this bizarre premise with a straight face, creating a few genuinely tense and interesting scenes. The image of the Bagman himself is effectively creepy-an anonymous, everyday object twisted into a symbol of vengeful justice.However, these moments are few and far between. The primary issue with Bagman is that it feels profoundly underdeveloped. The script seems more like a first draft than a finished product, with a plot that meanders and fails to build consistent tension or narrative momentum. Character motivations are paper-thin, and the story lacks a cohesive through-line, making it difficult to become fully invested.This problem is exacerbated by a feeling that the film is at war with itself, often seeming like two different movies spliced together. One movie is a gritty, almost serious eco-thriller about a man taking a stand against pollution. The other is a campy, low-budget slasher with over-the-top kills. The tonal shifts are jarring and prevent the film from establishing a unique identity. Just as you're being drawn into a moment of atmospheric dread, a clumsy scene or a poorly delivered line of dialogue will yank you right back out.Speaking of dialogue, the acting, unfortunately, leaves much to be desired. While the lead actor behind the bag mask does a serviceable job with physical presence, the supporting cast often delivers stilted and unconvincing performances. Line readings feel unnatural, and a lack of emotional authenticity makes it hard to care about the fate of the Bagman's victims, who often serve as little more than cardboard cutouts designed to deliver an environmentalist message before meeting their grisly end.In the end, Bagman is a frustrating watch. It's a film you want to like because its core idea is so ripe with potential. It clearly has passion and something to say, but it lacks the filmmaking craft, a polished script, and strong performances needed to deliver its message effectively. It remains a curio-a film that might be worth a quick glance for die-hard fans of bizarre B-movies, but one that will likely disappoint anyone looking for a coherent and well-made horror experience.A brilliant premise trapped in a poorly made film. A classic case of a great idea being let down by its execution.

So stupid

Really really stupid...Seems like it was written by 12 year old boy.... corny jokes..f word every other minute...
