Better than Nothing about Itter

A low level military movie - didn't know if I should cry or laugh - the Itter Battle in General is very interesting theme because Itter occured really by the End of the War and it is something unique and fascinating showing how War Opponents could work together in the final stage of the war for a similar Target - but what the movie want to show me as Partnership is absolutely nonsense - starting with exotic uniforms for the final 05/1945 time, helments from the wrong army ...german soldiers dying like flies with single shots and without covering .. the communication between each other.... aarggghh.. ..and even small details like the orders of the German SS officer(s) sound more like a football game made me laughing "Team One - go lto the left - Team two - go to the right...and Team Three....." - TEAMS ?? Left ? Right ? - Sorry - - at least I expect some historical military correctness in a war movie in appearance and spelling - cost nothing - even for a B Movie important - unfortunately if you are interested in the Itter Battle currently there are no Options - so I gave at least 3 Stars for making the 1st Movie about it.

A pleasant B Movie surprise

A pleasant B Movie / TV movie supriseWatched this on a whim, with no expectations, and was pleasantly surprised.A low budget, low CGI account (some of it was laughable, but it did not matter) of the real, historical Battle of Castle Itter....some wooden acting and no famous faces - but all that did was add to the overall "rag tag band, fighting fanatical, never say die Nazi's" theme.A great made for TV 90min escape.There was no side stories, no back stories, just an account of the confusion, the determination and will to survive of good guys, and the fanatical failure of the last day's of the Nazi regime.
