Utter Rubbish

As an historical, fact based film, this is a pretty poor representation of one.There are fundamental errors in uniforms, weaponry and ranks. A US Army Maj wearing a Lt Col's helmet, brand new M1carbines and uniforms. Mixed German units, SS, Wehrmacht and Fallschirmjäger.A Maj calling a 3* Gen by his first name? I don't think so, not in front of subordinates. Berenger's character would be at least a full Col or a 1*The acting is wooden at best, but at least they've done their best to get the weather conditions right even if not a single snowflake is seen falling despite Dec 1944 was the harshest winter on record.A pretty poor remake!!

Was this a joke?

So where was the 8 inches of snow that lay on the ground in the battle if the bulge? It looked mire like Spring than Winter in this film. Better to watch the 1966 Henry Fonda version than this.
