We only lasted 30 minutes...

Then we fled and took a very nice walk. The dialogue and acting were painfully bad. The love story preposterous, and the holocaust tropes beyond cliched. If you are going to create art about something as fraught and beyond tragic as the holocaust, you damned well better have something valid and worthwhile to say about it. It is hard to imagine a film that failed more utterly in this.

Wow Wow Bau!!

I found out about this film through knowing about the museum in Tel Aviv called the Joseph Bau museum. To actually see the story of Joseph and Rebecca Bau on the big screen was exhilarating and so meaningful!! His two daughters, Clila and Hadasa Bau, who are pictured in the very last frame of the film carry on their legacy at the Joseph Bau Museum in Tel Aviv Israel and also with the website and traveling exhibit. The film is a wonderful legacy to this beautiful inspiring story however the museum also stands as a tribute to the man who helped Oscar Schindler save so many Jews.
