Cut, cut, CUT!

5.1 stars.Honestly I haven't seen so many continuity errors in a movie in years. I don't know how many years, but it's a lot. I've watched so many b-rated movies in my life, and actually 'Before Your Father Finds Us' is not utter trash, but there are so many errors, it's unbelievable. These are not technical errors, per se, because those entail angles, editing, props, lighting etc...I'm referring to the other stuff that makes a story believable and consistent. And so this film is total nonsense in that regard. I started counting the errors around 30 minutes in, because they just kept coming, every minute brought a new mistake, on and on, I started laughing.Who signs off on a script so riddled with mistakes? I think Lifetime network doesn't actually care, because they know people will watch the movie anyways. They weighed the cost of production and it's more profitable to make ten garbage films, than one quality film. I get it, it's all about the bottom line. Well, I got something to say about that, for the love of film stop selling out you imbecilic turncoats! You don't belong in the business. I like entertainment as much as the next person, but this is not entertainment. It's more like clickbait for movies. The acting was okay, I suppose. Actually, the lead actress, whom I love to watch in Hallmark films, gave a poor performance here. I was hoping she would step it up, but something was off with her character. She is supposedly a Christian mother who is trying to protect her daughter from her monster ex-husband, but it's unconvincing in all respects.I can list the errors, but I'd rather you see them for yourself. If you can't spot all the incongruities, then you deserve to enjoy this waste.

Glad unlike Hallmark they did not pair up Alexa & her spouse, playing one of the main parts.. They might have off screen chemistry but onscreen, maybe due to his limited skills or their marriage affects her performance.I know it's a movie but logic in me felt her being that well military trained, add a pregnancy & the age of her child she would of been too young.Than her love interest gets basically beaten to death, yet survives with basically no substantial injuries.. Ok,sure.Casting to acting was tolerable for Lifetime, cinematography was decent.Worth a watch if even just once, but don't expect a storyline not full of clichés or plotholes.

Great faith based thriller and the cast were great!

Alex Penevega, Tahmoh Penikett and Jaeda Lily Miller play an unconventional family unit in what Lifetime is calling a Faith Based Thriller, one of the first of it's kind!Sophie is a single mom raising her daughter in a small town. What nobody knows is that she and Emily are in a witness protection program, and their entire lives are a tangled web of deception. Sophie and her husband were both in the military, but four years into their marriage she found out he was doing criminal acts, so she testified against him. That was ten years ago. When the man Sophie has been dating wants to advance their relationship, Sophie has to stall but is unable to say why. We see her wrestling emotionally in church as the pastor gives a message on living in the truth. That's when circumstances spin out of her control - her husband escaped from prison and immediately found her and Emily - and he wants to be a family again.I love a good thriller. I watch Reacher as well. So when director Jason Bourke described Mason as an evil Reacher, I got excited. I was not disappointed! There were guns and fight scenes and explosions, oh my!All turned out right in the end. (Actually I'm not sure if the one lead FBI guy made it?) In a full circle, Sophie is able to go back to church and resolve her conflicts with the truth. Before Your Father Finds Us is rated 14 and up. There is a very disturbing scene in which Sophie's boyfriend gets brutalized, and a fight scene at the end between the two parents could be upsetting.
