Plot summary

Ishak, a wandering musician from a small mountain town. A lynching he was a part of 7 years ago comes back to haunt him as he returns to his town to say farewell to his dying mother. Facing the other five perpetrators--his childhood friends—as well as the community and government officials supporting them, Ishak struggles with the guilt weighing upon him. However, the bigger the crime is, the stronger the silence gets since everyone has blood on their hands.

Excellent, thats all !

We just left the movie and i must say it was a film in which the lynching culture in our society and the mentality of the rural people were reflected in a natural and unexaggerated way by all the actors. We didn't realize how 2 hours passed.In the present and flashbacks of Ishak(Berkay Ates), sometimes with just his eyes, I felt all the transitions of emotions, remorse, seek for justice, even heartache.The plot of the movie is very good, sinkhole scenes were tragically beautiful, nature was extraordinary.The director has made a very powerful and very impressive film.I think that such films made for society are a legacy and add value to all of us. I wish everyone to be a partner in this journey and I congratulate the whole team :)

One of the best movies of 2023

The film was due to be released in Turkey in February but because of a major earthquake in Eastern Turkey it has been postponed to end of April. So I was lucky to see it at Sofia International Film Festival.The movie itself is flawless, Özcan Alper has proved one more time what a talented director he is. From beginning to end you feel the tention. It is a good portrayal of the differences and conflicts between the natives and those who come from outside. Very effective story telling and excellent acting by Berkay Ates, who deserves all the awards.It is a splendid movie, very realistic, dont miss it!
