Plot summary

In 1986, counsellors at Camp Trustfall are preparing for the new summer. It's all fun and games until one of the new counsellors goes missing. Now, an evil lurks in the darkness. Is it the camp legend come to life or does someone else have an axe to grind?​

wanted to like it more

Was suggested it today and It took me a long time to finish. The movie paid a lot of homage to classic camp slashers like Friday the thirteenth and Sleepaway camp but the execution as poor. Camera work was not bad and a couple of the death scenes were shot really well to make up for the lack of budget to pull a large scale death off but thats really where it ends. Not a single character is likable and you really dont have any connection to them at all. For someones first movie I do see a lot of promise but I think more direction needs to be given to the actors. Everything felt forced and not even remotely organic. Given a a more experienced cast I would watch the directors work again.

Just watch the last hour

I rounded up my rating. This movie is a 2 most of the way, but a 7 for the last 30 mins. I don't know why the movie is sooooo long. This movie would be much better if they tried to take out 30-40 minutes of it. I think most people would probably tune the movie off 20 minutes in, because really nothing much happens, and it's a shame, because the last half hour really saves this movie if you make it through the first half.Most of the acting is bad, scenes aren't cut the way they should be, and some of the lighting of scenes is too dark. The sound effects are good where they were used, but there's several scenes that could have used some kind of background sound and it was completely lacking - it's almost as if they switched editors for the last hour of the film.
