An Unexpected Romance During the Holidays

"Francine 'Fancy' Ballentine" (Brandy Norwood) is a successful fashion designer at a clothing company, hoping to replace the retiring CEO. To do so, she must first beat her main competitor, "Germaine" (Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman), in a winner-take-all competition set up by their boss to determine who is more creative. On top of that, Francine also has to deal with an aging mother named "Evelyn" (Debbi Morgan), who is living on her own and is on the verge of losing her sight due to macular degeneration. To help with that, Evelyn has called on a personal friend named "Jaylen" (Robert Christopher Riley) to work on the construction of her house to make it easier to navigate as her vision lessens. What Francine doesn't count on, however, is that the chemistry between her and Jaylen increases the more the two spend together, especially since Francine has a financially successful boyfriend named "Richard" (Lamman Rucker) who professes to love her very much. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that this was an okay holiday romance film that benefited from solid performances by both Brandy Norwood and Robert Christopher Riley. The two definitely make a fine-looking couple. Likewise, I liked Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman's performance, which added an element of comedy to the film. On the other hand, there were a couple of subplots involving both Evelyn and Francine's sister, "Tia" (Journey Carter), which probably could have used some improvement. Beyond that, I enjoyed this movie, for the most part, and I have rated it accordingly.

Exactly what would you expect

Another one of those cliche romantic Christmas movies, as if it was made by Hallmark. Besides all of that, I trully enjoyes for all the wrong reasons. I really enjoyed Brandy, the cast overal and the way it was made. If you want to relax yourself and not to think a lot, this is the perfect movie for you.

The sap was thick here...

I stumbled upon the 2025 Holiday movie "Christmas Everyday" by random chance, and still opted to watch it, despite the fact of having already seen one sappy Christmas movie this year. Sure, I had never even heard about "Christmas Everyday", but I figured that I knew what I was in for here. The storyline in the movie was straightforward, although formulaic and generic. Writers Meg DeLoatch and Cameron J. Ross played it very safe and put all their money on every trope in the How-to-Write-a-Sappy-Christmas-Movie guidebook.Of the entire cast ensemble in the movie, I was only familiar with Brandy Norwood. And seeing that she was the headlining name, I can't really claim that it boosted any expectations I may or may not have had for the movie. The acting performances in the movie were fair."Christmas Everyday" is a sappy, generic and predictable Holiday movie. You know, the one that Hallmark and Life spews out by the dozens every year. So it is formulaic, for sure, but the good thing is that you know what you are getting and what to expect. So if you enjoy this types of sugar-coated generic Holiday movies, then you're in for a treat here.Watchable for what it was, sure, but hardly a movie that will become a Christmas classic. Nor is it a movie that I will ever return to watch a second time, now that I have seen it the first time.My rating of director Roger M. Bobb's 2025 movie "Christmas Everyday" lands on a five out of ten stars.
