Christmas in Compton has a few fun performances but is a lackluster movie overall.

Christmas in Compton (2012) is available on Tubi. The story follows a father preparing for retirement as a Christmas tree salesman in Compton. He hopes to pass the business on to his son, but his son has other ambitions. Complications with the father's staff may speed up the business transition process.Directed by David Raynr (Trippin'), the film stars Keith David (The Thing), Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary), Omar Gooding (Baby Boy), and Orlando Brown (Major Payne).This movie is worth watching primarily for Keith David and Sheryl Lee Ralph, who both deliver excellent performances. Unfortunately, the rest of the film leans heavily on clichés and cheesy moments. While it has a solid soundtrack and a unique love story, Omar Gooding's performance as the lead is just okay, and the movie struggles overall.In conclusion, Christmas in Compton has a few fun performances but is a lackluster movie overall. I'd rate it 4/10.
