Only saw the first 14 minutes

I only got through the first 14 minutes or so of this movie. The story seems interesting enough for a watch, though the female lead does not come of as likeable and somebody who's side we're on immediately but I was bothered by the constant 'commentary songs'. I find them too annoying to keep watching. Very unfortunate.

So bad it's good

Watching this movie has become a Christmas tradition. If you can make it through an initial watch, it could become a cult classic for you too. There is surprisingly good camera work at times and there are moments when you can see the vision. However, the movie is brought down by its cheesy plot line paired with the original sound track and the lead actors overly serious delivery. An impressive passion project that grows on you with each watch.

Hilarious and so sweet!

This is such a refreshing take on a holiday Rom Com - a far cry from a hallmark movie. And, finally we have female romantic lead that is funny, eccentrically likeable and not 22 years old!I couldn't help feeling like Eve Carter was my real life friend. I've never written a review of a movie but something about the banter between Eve and Ace - in addition to their emotional backstories had me hooked. And I now have a new favorite quote - "it's a good thing the bus comes every ten minutes". So poignant!When they laughed, I laughed. I loved the insights from the flashback scenes - and now I secretly want to watch the original Christmas With Jerks... and see more of Eve and Ace!
