Has some cool ideas but unfortunately doesn't execute them too well. 4/10

So I didn't really know what I was going to get into with this film and I had no idea going in and I found it to be meh. At some points of the movie it's pretty decent for the most part but some parts felt so off to me. The movie has a pretty solid cast with Joe Kerry, Georgina Campbell and Liam Neeson and I found most of the performances to be alright and pretty goofy for the most part and I think one of the best parts of the film was the chemistry between Joe Kerry and Georgina Campbell's characters and I found their dynamic to be interesting. Liam Neeson does a decent job but he feels kinda out of place doing his serious acting and comedic acting in this film. The story is decent and pretty easy to follow which made the movie easier to watch because of the straight basic storyline which the movie doesn't do a whole lot of interesting things with its premise but I see the idea they had. Whenever the film tries to introduce som humor as well it's very hit or miss there's a few jokes in here which made me laugh a little bit but I felt like there were more misses than hits with the jokes for the most part. I also think the fungus is designed really nice throughout the movie however I didn't like how some of the people or animals ended up looking like near the later half of the movie and it felt like they were rushing to finish the designs and the CGI is also a little weird at times as well because it looks really goofy throughout the movie and it helps the movie sometimes with some of the comedy but sometimes it just brings the movie down as well. The movie also feels like the pace is bringing it down as well because some part of the movie felt very slow compared to some parts of the movie which just goes by action quickly and doesn't expand on some things introduced as well. I feel like this is a movie which is perfect for streaming and it's eh but it doesn't do a whole lot of interesting things unfortunately.

It grows on you

I wanna give this a 6.5.I didnt know this movie existed and so I went in probably the most blind of any movie I've ever seen.At first, I was wondering why Liam Neeson was acting like he was in a B movie, especially as the opening is played fairly dark. After realizing what the movie actually was, I understood and I got into the movie more.Its a freaky, kinda goofy black comedy that shows its true colors (green, and lots of it!) the longer it goes on.Its a pretty fun body horror that if you can gel with the dark tone mixed with the comedy aspects its a fine popcorn flick worthy of a watch. It didnt get any out loud laughs, but air was definitely expelled with moderate force through my nose at several times.This is one of those rare mid-good movies where I'm not sure how it could've been improved as all the pieces generally fit. If they went more serious, it'd feel derivative but if they went sillier it'd be too goofy for the material.

Enjoyable & Relaxing

Cold Storage is a relaxing comedy with some memorable moments. This film does have some rough visual effects, but the practical effects are actually impressive. Everyone involved made this movie a great watch and this movie is a film that you can watch with family and friends, and all will have a great time.
