Plot summary

Acclaimed Montreal band Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra is one of a growing number of rock groups to have accepted an infant into their touring tribe. Touring with children is both costly and complicated, yet SMZ are determined to combine family life and being on the road with the band's deep political commitment.

Post-Rock collective from Kanada

Come Worry with Us! (2013) is an absolute must-see Documentary for fans of Post-Rock music and anything that hinges off or is connected to atmospheric, transcendental, existential sonic forays that include improvisational, independent, underground music that is on the opposite spectrum from mainstream music. This terrific music-doc is more of a Road-Trip style film that follows acclaimed Montreal Post-Rock band, Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, on the road while Touring. They are one of a growing number of rock groups to have accepted an infant into their touring tribe. Touring with children is both costly and complicated, yet TSMZMO are determined to combine family life and being on the road with the band's deep political commitment. For those who are unfamiliar with Thee Silver Mount Zion, they are a second off-shoot project formed by members of the highly acclaimed Post-Rock juggernaut group, GodspeedYou! BlackEmperor, from Montreal, Kanada (yes, with a K) who have just released a new album recently. Both bands represent a sort of Ying/Yang dynamic for the collective of musicians involved in each group simultaneously.IF you enjoy(ed) this film, then i also highly recommend seeing the tremendous 2019 music-doc, SWANS: WHERE DOES A BODY END.

A very powerful look at contemporary parenthood

This film is a very insightful and powerful exploration of what it means to be a parent in today's world. Through the characters, the film maker invites the viewer to consider troubling questions about what it means to share parenting responsibilities for families that see themselves as progressive. A must see for 20-30 somethings, and those who love them, who are grappling what it means to live according to one's principles. The close exploration of a very unique family within their circle of eccentric and creative friends acts as a powerful allegory for the struggles faced by all sorts of modern families. The film maker has done a wonderful job of presenting a film which raises questions that are essential to think about. A must see.
