bad writing

Undercover cop Ray Thompson (Nic Nemeth) shoots his own partner to prove his authenticity to a gunrunner. Despite getting the bad guy, he's in deep trouble. OPA Lt. Julia Baker (Katharine Isabelle) suspends him. He has been receiving letters demanding $2 million plus change. Now, a kidnapped boy has been strapped with a bomb and the bomber wants his money.This WWE production is pretty bad. I'm only watching this for Katharine Isabelle. She seems to be the only one in the cast with big acting experiences. Nic Nemeth is a WWE wrestler and his acting is as good as can be expected. Right from the start, the bad guy doesn't check to make sure the undercover cop is actually dead. That's indicative of the bad writing in this. They filmed around a WWE event and that part looks exactly like that. I start to lose it with the landlord. The Russian consulate is just too much. It is interesting that Putin is still seen as a threat in this. I guess they haven't gotten the memo from up top. The cops are infuriating in general. There is no way that the cop who got shot is the one doing the interrogation. Let's just say that none of this is normal police procedure. There is one passable chase scene. Everything else is lower grade material.

YOU DON'T LOOK IMMUNE

Ray (Nick Nemeth) is an unorthodox Seattle detective who makes his own rules. He gets suspended by Lt. Julia Baker (Katharine Isabelle) while pending an investigation which will lead to his termination. While he laments over the loss of his son three years ago, he gets a call back concerning a child kidnapped by the Russian Mafia and has a bomb strapped to him demanding a $2 million $112. 35 ransom. They specifically want him. Ray is not reinstated and is tailed by Baker to report on any breaches of conduct. With the clock ticking on the boy, Ray goes very rogue and drags Baker into his antics.This is a modern day "Dirt Harry" type of story. Instead of a crazy guy, it is a Russian, and instead of a little girl being buried, it is a boy with a bomb, but you get the idea. Katharine Isabelle was excellent in her role providing a subtle sexuality and good chemistry with Nick Nemeth. Action with a good blend of humor and drama.This is a good film for those who like a vigilante cop film without any heavy thinking. Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity. Expected violence/killing.
