Two Hours of Missed Potential

I was genuinely surprised that Gerald Salmina couldn't craft a more engaging story from such a powerful premise. With access to the world's best downhill skiers, natural drama, breathtaking mountain landscapes, and the sheer thrill of speed, the raw ingredients for a great film were all there.Unfortunately, the film falls into a repetitive and uninspired structure, cycling through essentially the same race formula multiple times. Instead of building momentum or narrative progression, it feels like watching the same episode of a mediocre sports show over and over again. There's little sense of development, escalation, or emotional payoff.By the time the film reaches its conclusion, the lack of storytelling focus makes it feel oddly unsatisfying-less a climax than an exhaustion. What could have been a tight, compelling 80-90 minute experience stretches into nearly two hours of repetition, squandering both its subject matter and its visual potential. It's a disappointing missed opportunity, and one that left me wishing the film had trusted its extraordinary material more than its formula.
