Plot summary

Three men meet on a night train on the border of Finland and Sweden. All three are concealing something, and a sudden confrontation amongst them leads to disastrous consequences, with two of them being forced to make a joint decision.

It could have been good

If...there was a fewer coincidences in the story.It's far too unrealistic for this kind of movie.First of all, l wouldn't call this a thriller because there's no thrill.The 3 main actors were good but the director was not able to find a proper rythm.That's definetely the main criticism.You spend a good time thinking when is it going to start?And then, when something happens, it seems that it is too slow again.It's a rythm issue.I'm used to Nordic movies but...this one hasn't find the magic formula to catch you.Of course, it was quite annoying to see the microphone soooo many times.Also the film takes place in Finland so do not expect a Swedish story, there's a good mix of Finish and English.The music is not good in my opinion, a bit too dramatic and not suitable, it looks cheapSo, it's difficult to enjoy this movie, i stopped watching 2-3 times but i eventually went until the end which wasn't that easy.Pity though.

A low-budget slow-burn

Found this on Netflix and ... well ... I can't resist a Finnish crime related thriller.Unfortunately very little of the film is actually in Finnish - or even seems really that Finnish. It wasn't exactly what I expected.It's a drawn-out story of 3 people who end up thrown together by circumstance and things pretty much slowly unravel from there and while 2 of them have sort-of happy endings (let's assume) the main character decides to own up to his accidental murder.The story wasn't very engaging ... and it was clearly very low budget. The number of times the boom mic - and sometimes the whole boom - appeared in shot was hysterical and I was taken out of the film constantly ... looking for it even when it wasn't there!43/100.
