Solid Documentary

I will make this quick. This documentary does what it tries to do. It shows Elway's entire career with very interesting sideline footage mixed with current interviews. It ties in some personal drama as well to show the sacrifice needed to be great. I did not know much about his career other than the super bowl loss hat trick. It made for an entertaining documentary that does what it wants to. It cuts a lot out, like it will skip seasons in the matter of 20 seconds, but it makes sense. I would recommend.

Very Good

This was a very good documentary on Elway. It of course went through the big ups and downs, the highlights, lowlights, struggles juggling football and family.But there was an emotional intimacy here that wasn't present in "The Last Dance", other than to talk about Jordan's passion and competitiveness. But that's a given in great athletes.The filmmakers here managed to get into Elway's heart, as he knocked on the door of Greatness, wanting to be let in, and then as he endured the world knocking on his door, waiting for true greatness to emerge, as it finally did, convincingly, with absolute resolve.
