Simple, undemanding fun

First of all, I wouldn't attempt to see this movie without having already seen "The Sheriff And The Satellite Kid" if I were you: it doesn't bother at all with introductions or explanations, it just throws you right into the story: Bud Spencer is a kind of wandering sheriff / guardian angel to an extra-terrestrial kid who can do magic things with a remote-control-like device. The film is pretty much what you'd expect from a Bud Spencer sci-fi comedy: full of endearingly cheesy special effects and slapsticky fight scenes (the highlight is one set in a laundry, with one bad guy going through a pressing machine!). It drags a little in spots and has some pretty poor scene transitions (in one scene the kid stumbles and falls into a lake, next time we see him he's lying on his bed with a fever), but Bud Spencer fans and kids (the primary target audience) should enjoy it. **1/2 out of 4.

The sheriff Spencer protects an extraterrestrial little boy from extraterrestrial invasion and government soldiers

This is the sequel to ¨The Sheriff and the little extraterrestrial¨ that deals with an Alien aircraft suddenly crashes on Earth, there appears a five years old kid named H7-25 who is lost such as E.T. The corpulent sheriff (Bud Spencer in his habitual role , as always , and this time without Terence Hill) as an American cop against botcher military forces and he befriends the little boy , both of them establish a lively and enjoyable relationship . Sheriff Hall takes in charge of the little kid who tells he comes from a faraway galaxy . This second entry the bouncing Spencer along with his likable little partner ( Cary Guffey of ¨close encounters in third phase¨) arrive in Monroe , there is appointed police officer by the Mayor Howard (Amendola). Meantime , newspapers from the city of Monroe publicize : ¨ Monroe has a new sheriff ¨. The sheriff Hall goes to Monroe City Bank where a delinquent wanted for 10.000 dollars reward attempts a hold-up but Spencer avoids it . After that , the sheriff attempts to help the little Alien , the cop confronts officers (John Bartha) and an extraterrestrial invasion commanded by an Alien boss (Robert Hundar , Spaghetti Western usual). The kid holds supernatural power , using a strange artifact which makes marvels as well as the first outing . When Aliens attempt to kidnap the satellite kid , the Supersheriff fights to defend the little H7-25 but he is detained and sent in prison . Meanwhile , there are been developing the ordinary fights and struggles set at a barbershop , bar , prison and a laundry . It all climaxes at the Monroe Attraction Park where takes places a silly fighting between Spencer along with his friends against the aliens . Spencer goes into the action he turns the score , fighting like a Bulldozer . The police gets to free the kid from some nasty extraterrestrials .Amusing and funny Spaghetti with the corpulent Spencer forming a sympathetic couple with Cary Guffey . This entertaining , engaging movie is crammed of fist-fights, punches , kicks, overwhelming stunt-work and lots of humor. The story concocts a blithely silly and lighthearted comedy that not only delivers the expected amusingly goofy comedy . Bud Spencer is top-notch as one army cop taking on a group of American soldiers and extraterrestrial beings who sail on the typical motorboat from Florida and as always he makes his own stunts with comic touches , as usual . The lighting-paced storyline slows down at times , but frenetic fight-sequences make up for it . It's an amusing romp plenty of brawls , several wild rough'n'tumble struggle scenes in particular are absolutely hilarious , including amusing bounds and leaps at a bar and laundry where Spencer fights a group of motorcycle men dressed ¨Village People¨-lookalike . This is a nice and funny juvenile story for Bud Spencer fans , as he's delightful and likable . It packs action, fist-play, slapdash, humor with tongue-in-cheek and is quite bemusing . This release has some cool and several hilarious moments ; however the Terence Hill-Bud Spencer duo films are much better . Bud Spencer gives a wonderfully warm and charming performance as Sheriff Hall . The film isn't always good , sometimes is fresh and diverting and on a couple of memorable occasions , it's frankly delicious. The movie displays innumerable laughters , jokes and slapstick . In this sweet and engaging comedy picture appears usual secondaries from B Italian series seen in several genres as Spaghetti Western and Peplum as Robert Hundar , John Bartha, Giovanni Cianfriglia , Salvatore Basile , Pietro Torrisi, Octaviano Dell'Acqua and Riccardo Pizzuti . Catching and commercial musical score with noisy songs by Guido and Mauricio De Angelis -Spaghetti Western's ordinaries- and composed by synthesizer, as usual . The motion picture written by Marcelo Fondato is middlingly directed by Michele Lupo who also directed ¨The Sheriff and the little extraterrestrial¨, ¨Bomber¨ and ¨Bulldozer¨ with similar actors , screenwriter ,technicians and of course the main actor , the great Bud Spencer . This is a passable entertaining juvenile that will appeal to Italian comedy buffs. In the 70s and 80s Bud Spencer starred various movies without Terence Hill , as he made three kind of films : 1ª he performed pictures with a little boy as partner as ¨Banana Joe ¨ , ¨Aladino¨ and ¨The Supersheriff¨ ; 2ª about cop named Flatfoot or Rizzo, also called Piedone, such as, ¨Flatfoot in Cairo , Flatfoot in Hong Kong, Flatfoot in Egypt , Flatfoot in Africa¨, furthermore the ¨Extralargo¨ series 3ª about diverse characters as a medieval knight as ¨Soldier of fortune¨ , a swindler as ¨Mr Charleston¨ or a fisherman , ex-player as ¨Bulldozer¨ and a Sheriff in this one. Rating : Average , only for Bud Spencer fans.
