An interesting look into an uncharted world

For those who complained about the "pointless" journey, I would ask, "what did you expect to see???". These guys are traveling for days on an ICE SHEET that no one has ever traversed before. I found the concept fascinating, the crew agreeable (often humorous), and the challenges they faced along the way were enough to maintain my interest. Was it "riveting"? No. But if you have even a passing interest in Greenland (or unexplored areas in general), it's well worth watching.

Not really sure what the point was beyond a collective mid life crisis..

Compare this to the Top Gear Polar Special to reach the North Pole in 2007 and although these guys drove over three times further, the vast majority was on relatively flat ice, and so monotonous they fell asleep while driving with very little extra danger!Meanwhile TG presenters had to use axes to chop out their grounded vehicle from ice ridges time and again..never mind one of them attempting the same route via a dog sled!The most interesting part was exploring the long abandoned American early warning radar station. But the goal of reaching Wulff Land (which turned out to be a large open expanse of barren grey brown rock) was an unimpressive anti-climax.Had they conducted some scientific experiments along the way, they could've at least justified the carbon footprint!

Pointless

There was nothing to watch except the team endlessly driving through the snow. The occasional breakdown broke up the monotony a little but the issues they had seemed pretty minor compared to how much they overdramatized them. It just wasn't very interesting and seemed to drag on for days. Some on the team were funny to listen to.
