Nope...

Oh no, I have to admit that immediately upon seeing that ethereal horse galloping across the screen and seeing the words Maverick Entertainment immediately sent any expectations of "False Profits" being a good movie straight down the drain. Yet, I still opted to watch it, as it was a movie that I had neither heard about, nor obviously ever seen.Writers Nia Kishaye and John Wayne S. III put together a script that fell rather short of entertaining me. I have to admit that I cared nothing about the characters in the narrative, nor for the actual events that transpired throughout the course of the storyline. But at least it was a notch upward from the usual garbage that Maverick Entertainment used to spew out.I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list except for Sai Piña, not that it was much of any surprise. The acting performances in the movie were fair, which definitely was a step up for a Maverick Entertainment movie.Definitely not a movie that I would recommend you to waste 118 minutes on watching. Some of us literally suffered through this ordeal in greater or lesser extend, so you don't have to; you're quite welcome.My rating of director Jamezz Hampton's 2025 movie "False Profits" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.
