? Christmas Rom-com Runs A-fowl

I admit, I could not watch past the first 20 minutes. While marketed as a charming holiday romance, this film suffers from an immediate and terminal case of poor execution.The most glaring issues are found in the fundamental building blocks of the movie:Dialogue: The scripting is frankly terrible. Every line feels forced, lacking any natural flow or wit.Acting & Chemistry: Both the acting and the chemistry between the leads are non-existent. The film attempts to portray the sweet awkwardness and insecurity of meeting a romantic interest, but instead, both lead characters come across as merely bumbling and unlikable.Zero Momentum:The narrative possesses no momentum to keep a viewer engaged. The story slogs along aimlessly, and after the initial setup, there is simply nothing to invest in or look forward to.Verdict: Spare yourself the agony and watch virtually anything else this holiday season. This turkey needs to be put back in the oven.

One of those rubbish we don't Care. Love It

Very much like Last Christmas the direction isn't great, the plot confusing, the title misleading, (the chicken is a weak trope to tie scenes together) but we just don't care.Because it warms the heart, restores your faith in being a good person for its own sake. Where taking responsibility is honorable and right - and lovable and not preachy. This is a delight, a joy.Yes the good guy is black (but we didn't care and you won't) and the bad guy (ex husband) white. I don't care. My wife, daughter and I loved it because it's wholesome. The relationship between Martin and Robin feels authentic and the two kids are super.Love this film!
