not a bad exercise in filmmaking

They got a team together, did a lot of improv, showed a lot of toplessness, probably had a good time and learned a lot about movie making in the process.For the viewer, kick back and let if flow. I think whoever put this together did a pretty decent job. I was entertained.I liked the australian game hunter guy, he had a lot of personality. All the other characters were fun too, variety of unique responses to the feral female out there creating havok.

It was brutally terrible...

Needless to say that I had, of course, never even heard about this 2025 horror comedy titled "Feral Female", as I stumbled upon it here in 2026. And since it was a movie that I had never seen, nor heard about, then I opted to give the movie a fair chance. But I have to be bluntly honest here, that I wasn't exactly harboring a whole lot of great expectations to the movie, as it just permeated a particular shoddy low budget movie vibe.And it didn't make it any better that the movie was written by, directed by and starring Jared Masters. Yeah, I have an aversion towards movies that have one person in all those roles, as such movies usually tends to be questionable and dubious affairs. So the movie wasn't exactly off to a great start.The storyline in "Feral Female", as written by Jared Masters, was straightforward, for sure, but it was not a particularly interesting or entertaining storyline. And the character gallery in the movie was insanely annoying, especially the main character Nigel B. Shearing, played by the guy who also wrote and directed the movie.Of the entire cast ensemble in the movie, I was only familiar with Erin Luo and Andy Dick. The acting performances were fair enough, though it was so very difficult to get past the toe-curling performance by Jared Masters himself.The editing in the movie certainly left for much to be desired. It was some pretty abrupt and brutal cuts in between scenes. And the sound effects were downright abysmal, especially the sounds that they had the feral woman making, it was just laughably bad.This was an ambitious home-made amateur movie project, for sure. But thankfully not among the worst of low budget movies I've sat through. Mind you, that "Feral Female" was by no means a stellar movie experience.The music in the movie was rather annoying.My rating of writer and director Jared Masters's 2025 movie "Feral Female" lands on a generous two out of ten stars.
