Not my cup of tea...

I had never even heard about this 2021 romantic drama titled "Flunk: The Sleepover", as I stumbled upon it by random chance here in 2026. And since it was a movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to give it a fair chance and check it out.From the movie's cover and synopsis, I have to admit that I harbored very little expectations to writer and director Ric Forster's movie.Writer Ric Forster, whom also directed the movie, put together a script and storyline that wasn't exactly my cup of tea. I just don't find these sort of slow paced real-life dramas to be all that entertaining when I sit down to watch a movie. It was not that it was a bad narrative or storyline, it just fell short of providing entertainment for me and my preference in movies.One thing that worked in favor of the movie was the cast ensemble, as I wasn't familiar with a single actress. The acting performances in the movie were fair, despite the fact that the script and storyline fell short of entertaining me.I am sure that there is an audience out there for a young adult romantic drama such as "Flunk: The Sleepover". I just happened not to be a part of that particular target audience.This is definitely not a movie that I will be returning to watch a second time.My rating of writer and director Ric Forster's 2021 movie "Flunk: The Sleepover" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.

Actually it was a good movie but also boring

3 of 10 because In the first few minutes of the film, you will get excited, but then the events will become boring, for example You'll know what the end will be, it's still a good movie, but it's not worth to watch it twice The events are very boring and also repetitive. To be honest, I was expecting what will happen after that, and also the movie does not focus on the main characters. What is the goal?? And also the end is incomprehensible, they were together on the bed and talking together okay? And what happened next? I wanted to know, but the movie ended without anything happening. This is my opinion.

It was good

It was good and worth watching if you are looking for something to do but the characters weren't that lovable imo especially Tabby the ginger and Jaz and there was a good amount of scenes where it just felt boring and made me think like okay.. where is this going? I guess that just made it more realistic though. I thought film making wise they did a good job, the movie did a good job on its aesthetics and vibes and just capturing realistic characters in believable situations. I thought they also were realistic in their portraying of substances and the goods and bads of weed and alcohol and didn't lean towards glamorization or fear mongering (as said by another viewer.) I think in terms of wlw relationships it was realistic and didn't over sexualize characters or anything. (I will say the actors and their Australian accents are attractive so that makes it more fun to watch.) Overall I'd say it's a good movie, if you are looking for something to do and you like wlw movies than it's worth watching, it's realistic and raw, but its definitely not fast paced or exciting.
