Perfectly fine

This remake is perfectly fine and it blows my mind that a lot of people trash it... they honestly haven't seen some of the films that came before this if they think this is awful.

Lots of Blood, Zero Substance

Gave this film a 4 simply because it is thrilling and gruesome from start to finish which is what you expect from a Friday the 13th movie. The lack of a plot isn't something new to the franchise but for people who didn't watch the origins it doesn't offer much substance and the reason Jason cannot be killed is never explained which makes the entire series a mindless blood fest and for a modern take It would be nice to have something than just more of the same, especially since the killer seems to have this magical ability to be in 2 or 3 places at the same time. It's seriously like he has the ability to transport. This film seriously deserves less than a 4 but because it delivers the bare minimum of what is expected of the series, Im being generous.
