AI without logic

Humanity is all but destroyed. The last few hide underground. Outside is too toxic to go find salvation, so they create an android to go look for them. Going to great pains to make this probe look human. Spoiler! The big Matrix level reveal is that the doc who's been making the android copy of her dead husband is actually an Android copy of the dead husbands dead wife that he made after she died but before he died. And everyone who counts knows this. She can survive outside, but instead of telling her to go outside and find salvation herself they... just... what? Let her spend months (years?) believing she's human while she tries to make something that can walk around outside. SHE CAN WALK AROUND OUTSIDE! Just send her out! Why don't they just send her out!?! People are dying!

Rather tired

GENESIS is a nondescript science fiction-themed B-movie, set in an underground bunker after a worldwide apocalypse has left the air above deadly. It reminded me of SNOWPIERCER a little in the depiction of facets of society breaking down and going on the rampage, but it's far less impressive and immersive than that production. What this amounts to is a bunch of actors running around in shadowy corridors, arguing a lot while a bit of action plays out. There are robots and gruesome deaths and John Hannah but otherwise it's all rather lacking and cookie-cutter, tired when it should be feeling fresh.
