Bon Voyage

It's hard to really write a review about this movie... I vividly remember not liking the movie when it first came out in 2016.... I only watch it once and did not bother to even rate it.But after the second viewing of this film.. it's not as bad when I first saw it... but still not the best of the directors work which we saw earlier and A Sun 2019..This movie is about two guys one a drug dispatcher taking goods from Taipei to somewhere southbound another is a rundown cab driver Michael Hui.. the two of them met with unfortunate events from attending a unknown wake for a free meal to sending off goods to the drug dealer which was betrayed and later on the culprit being assassinated through gun and machete which is quite gory and visual entertaining tooThere is more to this on the final act but the finale song Subaru by Shinji Tanimura was touching and meaningfulIt's not bad and deserves a viewing or two.

Meh...

A Taipei cab driver is in for more than he bargained for when he picks up a bumbling drug mule on his way to deliver a cache of cocaine with his gangster boss hot on his tail. What follows is a night of shootouts, screw-ups, and narrow escapes which would have made a great sixty minute short film. Too bad the director stretched it out to almost two hours and padded it with droning monologues and violent non-sequiturs.
