Competent thriller with quirky-fun gun toting Rabbi

It's worth it.This is an off-beat movie with a lovable Rabbi who unwillingly gets thrust into a violent squabble between ruthless businessmen. The Rabbi is certainly no action hero, but with the help of his friends and his supportive family, he is able to rise to the challenge of freeing an innocent man and unraveling the mystery of why his friends keep getting assassinated. It's nice to see a Jewish family or even religious portrayed in such a positive light. Usually movies downplay the religious background of a family, but here we see people praying and quoting scripture and it is portrayed in a normal, positive way. This is something Hollywood tends to avoid, whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or Jewish. This is a believable movie because it's obvious that the Rabbi is out of his league He almost dies several times, but is rescued at the last minute by his friends or just dumb luck. It's a solid 6½/10 and worth a watch.

Not worth to watch

I rarely write reviews, but this movie honestly deserves a warning label: do not waste your time. It's really ugly-not only visually, but also in storytelling, pacing, and overall execution. From the very beginning, the film feels like a chaotic mess that never finds its tone. The direction is inconsistent, the cinematography looks cheap and uninspired, and the dialogue is so forced that it's almost painful to listen to.

Wanted to like it

I very much wanted to like this to support the people and studio behind it but the writing is just not where it needs to be. The thing felt like a B grade direct to video release. Its got some great talent, great actors in it but the lead , the protagonists is just not believable at all and comes across as cheesy. Actors like Christopher Lloyd, Ed Quinn and especially and Neal McDonough deliver but the lead played by Mark Feurenstein just fails and badly.
