It was essentially just a generic martial arts action movie straight out of the late 1980s and early 1990s...

Well, without ever having heard about this 2026 movie titled "Hands", I opted to give it a fair chance, though the movie's title was a bit ridiculous.Writers Jim Burleson, Brett Dismuke, Justin Kuhn and Kevin Weisberg put together a rather simplistic script. I am a bit perplexed that four people collectively could muster to put together so little and so shallow. It was essentially just a watered down clone of any random late 1980s to early 1990s martial art movie. But hey, if you enjoy those movies that are all action and almost no story, then you're in for a treat here.It was actually nice to see Donald Gibb showing up in a movie such as this, but aside from him, then I was only familiar with Quinton Jackson of the entire cast list. Not that it was a bad thing, not at all. I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen. The acting performances in "Hands" were fair."Hands" actually does have a fair amount of martial arts fighting scenes and sequences to spruce up the otherwise bland and nearly non-existing storyline. And some of the fight sequences were actually nicely choreographed and executed on the screen.Watchable for what it was, but hardly an outstanding or memorable martial arts action movie. And hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing.My rating of director Justin Kuhn's 2026 movie "Hands" lands on a rather generous four out of ten stars.

Randomly fun

Ok, is this movie the greatest film of all time, no. That being said I really enjoyed the fights, the acting, and the story. There were certain things I was not expecting that happened. While the production value was definitely indie, some of the fights were quick and repetitive, I still had fun watching this film.
