Holiday Hopping Without a Map

I watched this because it is Christmas & I need to be in a more festive mood. The three timelines don't feel like they connect to form a cohesive narrative. The film transition between time periods felt abrupt & introduces more ideas than it develops. The film tells us who the characters are supposed to be rather than showing it through behaviour or conflict. The cinematography was pleasant but generic. The lighting felt overly polished.

the best part - for me-

For many reasons, my favorit part of series. For a sort of melancholia , for fair performances, for memories box and difficulties of reconciliation between a father and his son , for emotions behind wedding and, sure, again, for seductive portrait of couple offered by Catherine Bell and James Deanton. But, in same measure, for short presence of Barbara Wallace. In short, just touching.

Another Christmas on Cherry Lane

The third appearance of 7 Cherry Lane definitely doesn't disappoint. Three couples - including Catherine Bell's Regina and James Denton's Nelson from last year's "Christmas on Cherry Lane" - at three different times (1960, 1998 and 2015) experience their own Christmas Eve saga. There are backyard weddings, time capsules and plumbing emergencies, all in the December snow, and all guaranteed to tug at your heart strings. The way the three storylines all come together at the end is quiet impressive. If warm, heart-warming family Christmas fare is what you're after, you'd be hard pressed to find any better than the "Cherry Lane" franchise. Another great one!
