A film with reality and full of heart

Once you come acrss movies which is just about live and people meeting others. This is a little quiet movie about a home care visitor with a kid, meeting elderly which are in need of daily help to get by.The film tells about true lives, and it's so real that it goes through your heart.Well done by all involved, quality though and through.It's both heart warming, sad, sentimental and beautiful. What more can you expect?

Less is more

Beautiful, simple and convincing storytelling by Danish filmmaker Frelle Pedersen. A touching and tough look at how the system dehumanises the life of old people that we rarely see. The films main character tries to find meaning and connection to the elderly that she tries to take care of. It's heartwarming and Great acting by everyone involved. Go see!!!

The film does exactly what it says in the 31 word description, so I won't say any more about that. It's a well made film with believable characters (even though maybe some of the people in the film are real people and not 'actors' as such) and shows us a system that's probably about as good as home care gets, given that it's in Denmark.It also fits nicely into an emerging genre A Day In The Life, where the viewer is shown someone going about their everyday business. In 2021 we had A Pleins Temps, a French film about a woman who manages cleaning at a hotel, had a long commute and child care to sort out. Then in 2023 we had Perfect Days from Japan about a man who cleans public toilets, in a mindful way. 2024 brought us On Falling about a Portuguese Woman in Scotland who's a warehouse stock picker. Now in 2025 we have Home Sweet Home as well as Late Shift, a film starring Germany's current screen darling Leonie Benesch as a nurse on a frantic night shift. So I think this film is in good company and is well worth a watch.
