5.7/10. Watchable but not recommended.

My previous IMDB ratings for this franchise :HORROR IN THE HIGH DESERT : 6/10HORROR IN THE HIGH DESERT : MINERVA 6,4/10.Horror in the High Desert 3: Firewatch : 6,6/10.As is apparent from these ratings, I am a fan of HITHD franchise, these are not great movies but they're interesting and i like the fact that the creators want to make something different than the average FF horror movie. More eerie/enigmatic/atmospheric, less jump scares and repetitive horror tropes. MAJESTY is my least favorite movie of this franchise, it didn't expand the lore like the previous movie, it wasn't much scary/interesting and for the first time, I was a bit bored and uninterested about what i was watching. Too much FF scnenes and people walking in the dark, too cryptic, it seems to me that the writers sort of ran out of ideas.It wasn't bad and Found Footage fans probably will still like it, at least some of them. I will definitely watch the next movie but i think it's time to wrap it up and provide some answers. A closure is needed, you can't go on forever with so many unresolved enigmas and unanaswered questions.

Not great, but still worth watching

This had a pretty good story but way way way too much found footage of looking around in the wilderness. I think that stuff took up half of the movie. I just kept thinking how good the first one was with that Gary guy - super likable main character, just the right amount of footage of looking around, and scary beings that were actually scary. I guess this is the curse of any series, that the sequels just go down in quality. For #4, maybe bring Gary back to life??!!

where's the beef?

Ok. Just finished all 4 i dont know what to say.It's the same thing for 99.9999999% of the time ......supposed 'found footage' of...... trees. Lots of trees.Trees with potential!! Anything there?!?!?Nope. Ramshackle mines. Cluttered sheds Sage brush, ground shots, lots of crunchy walking and eventually a nano-second of "WTF WAS THAT?!?!?" a nano second if you're lucky talking heads and a HUGE amount of 'footage'.Teeny weeny tiny teeny little bit of scare hm. All 4 were almost identical that way.
