A Non-Comedy That Wastes Your Time

Lacking comedy, Hot Pursuit is more or less a bland cop story that leaves you bitter for having wasted 90 minutes of your oh so precious time. The story is a cliche of cop comedies with zero new ideas and a boatload of irrelevant scenes. The acting, specifically Sofia Vergara's, was very awkward. She was fixing her hair every 5 minutes and was visibly concerned with how she looked, traits of an "eye candy" that's short of talent. Reese meanwhile, was torn apart by a seriously annoying script and a character that is very unlikeable up until the credits. In the end, this film is a poor excuse for a comedy and probably the worst film Ive seen Reese in.

A Fatuous Film

While "Hot Pursuit" is a fatuous film, it is still a moderately fun and entertaining time. The plot is mostly nonsense, the schtick wears thin by the end, but there are a few laughs along the way. It's a decent watch for when you have nothing better to do, just have modest expectations going into it. My view: utterly average, 5/10.

hot pursuit

I honestly had high hopes going into watching this movie bc of both sofia and reese. but the jokes and dialogue were so bad. it was very unfunny movie.
