Plot summary

Adam, a talented architect has been living in a traumatic state for two years after his family was brutally murdered in front of him. Adam has been living in fear and trauma. His therapist Amanda advice him to learn self-forgiveness. The journey of a broken man on a mission of vendetta will make Adam decide between moving on and letting go of the past or discover a dark side he was never aware of.

Interesting plot but somehow it feels slow

The plot twist in this movie is not too surprising because it is already hinted through the dialogue of one of the characters. So this movie will most likely not be suitable for those who like watching heavy themes and full of surprises.The revenge action of the main character is quite satisfying. Even though he doesn't have good fighting skills, but he manages to think of a way to make his revenge torment the robbers.The main factor that makes this movie so alive is the acting performance of the main character. He succeeded in presenting a very drastic emotional or psychological development in his journey of revenge.The lighting in this movie is not good. Too dark for the viewer to focus. Although the story is about revenge, the lighting doesn't have to be too dull to make the audience feel dull too.It should be fun but somehow it feels slow because you can predict what will happen next.

Good movie but could be better.

Overall it's a good movie but could be better. Indonesian films have been improved from time to time. Great acting but the film can be better. From the first and second kill the main actor couldn't wait to fulfill his vengeance but when it comes to the last one he suddenly has time to wait so that guy can fully shaved his head? The ending could be better. The film should end with the bad guy dead or/and the main character take his own life due to the built-up trauma anger and sadness. If he used that gun to take his own life this movie could win an oscar. Reza rahadian was superb and the acting was good.

Wasting the Talent of Reza Rahardian

This is a film about revenge. A man named Adam who has a wife and child. Someday during his birthday his family was robbed by three robbers. His wife and child were killed on that robbery. This movie tells about the life of Adam 2 years later. Story like this are certainly not something new. But maybe in Indonesia it is quite rare for this type of movie. To be honest, this film has a lot of shortcomings, the whole film is only carried by Reza Rahardian's great acting.The story in my opinion is too common and too simple. This film feels like picking stories and scenes from many similar films but with lower quality execution. There are so many coincidences and oddities that really don't make sense. For example: How is it possible that a guy can coincidentally be in the same car with a robber who has robbed his house and the driver doesnt even realize he is delivering him (all Indonesian online drivers will see the destination address when receive online cab order, the driver could reject it knowing the address is the house he ever rob in the past). How is it possible that the killer of his wife happens to be the younger brother of the girl he likes, I think this is too far-fetched a coincidence. A psychologist's question and answer session also doesn't feel like a psychological therapy counseling session. When Adam visits the Amanda's house, it's a bit strange that the one who cooked it actually his brother who killed his wife, where were his wife and children at that time? Why arent't they showing up at all?Beside some i mentioned, there are so many othet plot holes that in my opinion make this film feel less enjoyable.The movie itslef still can be enjoyed, especially for Indonesian people who rarely watch movies. But for movie lovers, i think this movie have too many weakness.There are many better themed films like Law Abiding Citizen, Peppermint, Brave One, etc.
