Plot summary

Vincent, a civil servant, has always enjoyed the benefits of his family's status. When the government votes on a massive savings plan, Vincent is pushed out. When he is transferred to the North Pole, he meets Eva and finds love. It's time for him to choose.

A comedy with great moments

A comedy with great moments. I think a southern European accustomed to a public service full of tricks will understand this comedy better. He managed to make me laugh out loud several times. As satire it is fantastic. It's also a film about redemption. Christian Clavier plays an old-fashioned trade unionist, and despite being secondary, he is comical. The protagonist, who is also the director, is a pleasant surprise. It is also an adventure film, of course in a comical way. With environments in the Arctic and South American jungle. Romance is also present. It is also a criticism of politicians and their ambitions. Don't miss seeing.

Hold on for 20 minutes and you will get a nice french rom com

The movie begins like many other low budget french comedies: unoriginal story, bad acting, unfunny jokes, terrible photography, same worn out french actors. And then the story takes off at the same time as the main character. The movie turns into a simple and humble love comedy, full of neat ideas. I think Jerome Commandeur should stick to comedy scripts only and find other people to direct and act. Definitely not the next film of the year award flick, but should be good enough to make you smile a few times. If this was (re)made by an Hollywood studio with a few big names, I can easily see it turn into a commercial success.
