Plot summary

While hiding out in New Mexico after a freak accident, Elena runs into Jessica, an old friend from high school. When Jessica's stalker suddenly shows up at their door, they must seek help from beyond the grave to get rid of him, for good.

Solidly terrible

I watched it and it sucked, it's a short skit/outer limits/twilight zone drawn out a bit, with absolutely zero surprise twist whatsoever. The other reviewer saying it's a subtle dark comedy is way off the mark. It is anything but funny, or good, or even worth watching. It is bad, from start to finish, without a single redeeming scene in it.She runs a guy down whilst texting and driving a lonely back road, somehow zero damage to her car or no questions asked about repairing it.She somehow lives and has money in her grandma's trailer home in the middle of nowhere... sure, why not, jobs aren't needed for income, AND her grandma was of course a mystic who lives on an old Indian burial ground, or whatever. Which pet semetarys things brought near it.Then it ends.Even for an indie movie, this just wasn't worth the time.I've watched plenty of movies with budgets that match this or had less, yet somehow with some clever writing, were blockbusters by comparison.Avoid this at all costs.Saying all that, none of the camera work was really to fault, it was shot admirably for an indie movie, so that's where the 2 stars are coming from.

Terrible start, nice ending

I got this (pretty short) movie recommended, but this movie is certainly not for everyone.The first part (about 45-ish minutes) of this movie is downright terrible. Incredibly (on purpose) long-winded and boring time-wasting scenes. I thought I was looking at some sort of high school or art school project made by students. It was really bad.In hindsight, I'd say it created the right atmosphere for the second part.The last 25-ish minutes, this movie actually improves considerably. The story comes into focus and.the scenes aren't as slow and boring anymore. I personally really liked the ending, but I think after having endured (suffered) through the first 45 minutes this may be Stockholm syndrome.My tip: watch the first 45 minutes at 2x speed, and persevere until you get to the good part.

For sure, this is a polarizing movie, i can see the reasons why many people are not gonna like it.This is an indie, dark comedy. I could be more precise but i would spoil it and you should watch it without knowing anything about the plot. One thing you must know before you watch it, is that it is not scary. No horror/thriller elements here, although there a few intense moments during the first 20 minutes. In my opinion, as soon as the twist happened, it was very funny until the end. I would call it even hilarious, but beware, it's not a "laughing out loud" movie. The humor is extremely subtle. Characters act and speak outrageously with a straight face. Well acted and the script is even better. There are some really funny -and sad at the same time- actors' monologues here. These monologues elevated the movie, they were brilliant.It's not a perfect movie. First 10-ish minutes are slow and boring, i believed that i was going to disliked it. Furthermore, maybe they didn't capitalize well on their interesting ideas. Movie themes should be explored more. It's obviously that the writers are creative but they should work harder, this should be a longer movie. It ended kinda abruptly.In any case, i enjoyed this movie, and i found it pretty original, something rare for movies nowadays. This is not a comedy/horror movie, neither an intense comedy thriller. If you are looking for an indie/art/weird dark comedy, you will enjoy it too.By the way, of course there is a "Jethica" here. Just listen carefully the stalker, when he calls her name :)
