No Jingle.

Jingle All The Way To Love (2024) -I'm afraid that Erin Agostino has never been my favourite leading lady in these films. She's just a bit too quirky for my tastes. I mean I'm gay so it's actually the guy that I need to be excited by, but it helps if I want them to fall for the girl too.Jake played by Romaine Waite was nice, simple and inoffensive, but not necessarily a winner for me either. The guy who gave her a bell one New Year's Eve might have been more my thing. This was more of the same old, same old story and delivery.Personally I always find it harder to believe the stories when one or both of them are already engaged or at least in a relationship because it just feels like they're obviously flighty or not good at relationships in the first place. Like how could you have been engaged to a guy for two years but fall for someone else in just two weeks and risk everything for a missed kiss seven years before? Girl, you're all over the place!!! Especially as the two week guy wasn't that charming and I didn't think that he'd had the time or made the effort to win her over and vice versa. It was interesting for her to have three potential love interests though despite the fact it was so obvious who she would end up with (It's on the poster!). If they made the same story where the Fiancée Ned (David Reale) tried hard, DJ Jake whom she'd just met tried hard despite knowing of Ned and the guy from New Years seven years prior was also trying hard to get to her having heard the story on the radio, each given equal screen time and without her being obvious who she was interested in (Which wasn't really the case here in fairness) then it would work far better as a film, because people would all be rooting for someone different or maybe even all of the guys. Some would be disappointed, but at least it would be different and we'd all appreciate that.I did think that no matter how busy Ned was, saving lives and things, he didn't deserve to be made to feel like she made him feel. And honestly I didn't see any of the relationships working out, even and especially the DJ poster guy.So aside from the fact that due to one phone call Andi (Erin) ended up co-hosting a radio show despite having another job as a lawyer, which made it all more than a tad hard to believe, I could definitely have done without all the singing, Jake's Daughter Livy (Delia Lisette Chambers) was not a good actor (I can cut some slack because she was young, but I know there are kids out there who can deliver better), I hated the radio production ideas, the silly sound effects and so on and no radio station records live on Christmas Day, not to mention that the final show was embarrassing, it just wasn't that well thought out or put together. And when Jake inevitably fell out with her it was too much and an overreaction and their reconciliation was too easy and hard to believe as well.As these Made For TV Christmas Films go it probably wasn't the worst I've seen, but it was also not the best by far. It was just more of the same churned out repetition without any of the thought and a decent script/story.4.38/10.
